How to Choose the Right Pricing Conference this Fall

It’s back-to-school time around here and, on a personal level, I’m thrilled for the return of the routine of brown-bag lunches, homework, and frantic early-morning sprints to the bus stop. While the next generation of pricing strategy experts settles into their school desks, it’s the time of year for today’s pricing experts to start planning for their 2020 pricing initiatives.

There is no better way to consider how your team can advance in your pricing maturity than to learn from the endeavors and successes of other pricing teams – and the best meeting ground for these interactions and learnings is a pricing conference.

The Pricing Conference for Pricing Extroverts: NYPS

If you’re a pricing professional who learns out loud, then the Nail Your Pricing Strategy Conference in Chicago this coming September 24th though 26th is the event for you. You’ll have a chance to build your pricing community Rolodex here through two networking events, roundtable sessions and interactive moderated discussions.

Bring your toughest challenges and get insight from pricing pioneers like Craig Zawada on how the most innovative pricing teams are tackling similar challenges. In his keynote, “Pricing 2020: A Visionary’s Perspective on the Pricing Discipline,” Craig will share why what made us successful pricers in the past may not be enough to keep us successful in the future.

The Pricing Conference for Resume Builders: #PPSVEGAS19

If you want the world to know what an amazing pricing professional you are, then it’s time to make it official by earning your Certified Pricing Professional (CPP) designation. There’s no better event to make progress on your certification path than the Professional Pricing Society’s Fall Conference in Las Vegas October 15th through 18th. The Professional Pricing Society (PPS) offers a comprehensive education path that includes online pricing training courses and in-person pricing strategy workshops.

At the #PPSVEGAS19 Conference, you can earn one of your CPP credits through a fun and interactive workshop on October 15th with our Chief AI Strategist, Michael Wu and Lead Strategic Consultant, Bill Dudziak. In this course, Dr. Wu will reveal the truth behind big data, data science and what data scientists really do. Dudziak will help participants to consider the areas within their pricing and sales processes with the greatest potential benefit from AI and provide perspectives on how to effectively apply AI.

Once you’ve notched off a credit or two toward your CPP, you’ll want to kick back with a drink at Wednesday night’s Platinum Kickoff Dinner. At this event, you’ll have a chance to network with other conference attendees, workshop hosts, acclaimed CPPs and event sponsors.

Thursday morning is when the excitement of the main conference gets started. On Friday, you’ll hear from HP Inc.’s Worldwide Director of Config, Price & Quote Deepak Bhootra on just how HP applied data science to achieve growth in the morning’s keynote sessions.
