It’s back-to-school time around here and, on a personal level, I’m thrilled for the return of the routine of brown-bag lunches, homework, and frantic early-morning sprints to the bus stop. While the next generation of pricing strategy experts settles into their school desks, it’s the time of year for today’s pricing experts to start planning for their 2020 pricing initiatives.
There is no better way to consider how your team can advance in your pricing maturity than to learn from the endeavors and successes of other pricing teams – and the best meeting ground for these interactions and learnings is a pricing conference.
If you’re looking to advance your pricing skillset or your team’s pricing strategy – Fall 2019 has quite an array of exciting conferences for you to choose from. Over the next few months, the PROS team will be joining four pricing conferences around the world and we hope to meet you at one or all of them!
If you’re trying to decide which event makes the most sense for you, we’re certain the Fall 2019 pricing conference lineup has something for you. From our perspective, there’s a pricing conference for:
- The Pricing Extrovert
- The Resume Builder
- The Innovative Pricer
- The Cultured Pricing Professional
Check out more about each of them below!
The Pricing Conference for Pricing Extroverts: NYPS
If you’re a pricing professional who learns out loud, then the Nail Your Pricing Strategy Conference in Chicago this coming September 24th though 26th is the event for you. You’ll have a chance to build your pricing community Rolodex here through two networking events, roundtable sessions and interactive moderated discussions.
Bring your toughest challenges and get insight from pricing pioneers like Craig Zawada on how the most innovative pricing teams are tackling similar challenges. In his keynote, “Pricing 2020: A Visionary’s Perspective on the Pricing Discipline,” Craig will share why what made us successful pricers in the past may not be enough to keep us successful in the future.
In our workshop: “The Future of Pricing in an Increasingly Digital Economy,” Justin Silver and I will walk you through just how leading companies are leveraging AI to continually evolve their pricing strategy to meet the needs of a changing marketplace.
The Pricing Conference for Resume Builders: #PPSVEGAS19
If you want the world to know what an amazing pricing professional you are, then it’s time to make it official by earning your Certified Pricing Professional (CPP) designation. There’s no better event to make progress on your certification path than the Professional Pricing Society’s Fall Conference in Las Vegas October 15th through 18th. The Professional Pricing Society (PPS) offers a comprehensive education path that includes online pricing training courses and in-person pricing strategy workshops.
At the #PPSVEGAS19 Conference, you can earn one of your CPP credits through a fun and interactive workshop on October 15th with our Chief AI Strategist, Michael Wu and Lead Strategic Consultant, Bill Dudziak. In this course, Dr. Wu will reveal the truth behind big data, data science and what data scientists really do. Dudziak will help participants to consider the areas within their pricing and sales processes with the greatest potential benefit from AI and provide perspectives on how to effectively apply AI.
Once you’ve notched off a credit or two toward your CPP, you’ll want to kick back with a drink at Wednesday night’s Platinum Kickoff Dinner. At this event, you’ll have a chance to network with other conference attendees, workshop hosts, acclaimed CPPs and event sponsors.
Thursday morning is when the excitement of the main conference gets started. Be sure to take time to design your own breakout track for Thursday afternoon – I highly recommend Josh Bardell’s session on “Empowering Your Teams to Shift from Legacy Processes to AI-Powered Pricing.” Josh will walk you through the five key stakeholders keys to a successful pricing evolution. Later that afternoon, I’ll be showcasing the latest innovations from PROS in “The Future of Pricing in the Digital Economy” and I invite you to join us there to see just what’s possible with purposeful pricing technology.
On Friday, you’ll hear from HP Inc.’s Worldwide Director of Config, Price & Quote Deepak Bhootra on just how HP applied data science to achieve growth in the morning’s keynote sessions. Bhootra will share his key advice on dealing with the most common slow-down of pricing initiatives: data. You’ll want to finish the conference with actionable advice from Dr. Justin Silver in his breakout session: “Building Trust in AI for Pricing Practices.”
Why not go ahead and go “ALL IN” on building your pricing skillset in Vegas this October and get registered for the Professional Pricing Society’s Fall Conference today?
The Pricing Conference for Innovators: #epppricingforum
If your team stays on the cutting edge of pricing innovation, then the EPP European & Global Pricing Forum in Brussels November 20th-22nd is the event for you. Conference topics will include: focus on how businesses are leveraging modern technologies for pricing, how companies are re-thinking their pricing models and how success in digital transformation can help you to gain competitive advantage.
EPP’s European & Global Pricing Forum organizers describe it as a truly innovative thought leadership event with a non-conference format that offers workshops, roundtables, panel discussions, and breakout tracks for B2B, B2C and eCommerce pricing professionals.
At the event, I invite you to join the workshop I’m co-hosting with Justin Silver: “Designing an Intelligent Approach to Pricing through Systems, Science and Organization Habits,” where we’ll show you how to identify key pricing processes with greatest potential improvement and provide perspectives on how to effectively drive new, improved habits through the adoption of AI. During the main conference, I’ll be hosting the breakout session: “The Future of Pricing in the Digital Economy,” where I’ll share some learnings from our recent research on how buyer’s expectations are changing and how B2B businesses are investing in AI and technology to meet those new expectations.
If you’re ready to breakthrough into the future of pricing, then we’ll see you in Brussels at the EPP European & Global Pricing Forum this November.
The Pricing Conference for Cultured Pricing Professionals: #PPSBERLIN19
If you’ve got a refined taste for bratwurst and you’re working toward attaining your Certified Pricing Professional designation, then the Professional Pricing Society’s European and Global Conference in Berlin November 27th-29th is just the conference for you.
With tracks designed for Practitioners, Experts and Tools & Techniques sharing, #PPSBERLIN19 is the perfect landing spot for your entire pricing team. No matter what your level of pricing expertise, there’s meaningful content for you. I recommend joining Dr. Stefan Bildea’s session on: “Building Trust in AI for Pricing Practices,” where he’ll share why it’s important to incorporate greater transparency into your pricing practices and just how to do it.
We hope you’ll join us in Berlin for a pint of Bier, a brat and discussion on how to most effectively leverage AI for pricing at #PPSBERLIN19.
So which Pricing Conference will we see YOU at this Fall?
